Light+Building — The fastest way to new customers. Light+Building - International Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology — is to be extended from five to six days. It will begin, as already announced, on 6 April and end on 11 April 2008. This was approved by the majority of the Light+Building Exhibitor Advisory Council following a request of the Central Association of the German Electrical and Electronic Engineering Industry (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie — ZVEI). Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt: «We have intensively discussed the pros and cons of an additional, sixth, day for the fair with the industry, trade and other partners on the demand side since the successful end of Light+Building in April 2006. The result is a majority of exhibitors in favour of more time for valuable customer talks.»
The last Light+Building closed its doors in April 2006 after recording a sensational 16 percent increase in the number of visitors. Altogether, around 2,100 exhibitors welcomed 135,000 visitors (2004: 116,000 visitors) to the International Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology. One in three visitors came from outside Germany. With 226,000 square metres of exhibition space (gross), Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre was fully booked up.
