It’s time to look ahead to the best regional business venue for the watch and clock industry — the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2009. Last fair also saw strong representation from trade bodies worldwide, with 44 buying missions and over 1,300 representatives from major department stores, wholesale markets and associations attending the fair.

The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is increasingly becoming the key venue for industry players looking to expand their business into the Chinese mainland. Around 59% of exhibitors questioned were either currently selling to or planned to develop a market in the mainland. This dovetails with buyer intentions, as nearly 50% of buyers questioned were either currently doing business in China or intended to in the coming three years.
