The international forum VIV Russia 2009 is the place of meeting for representatives of the agricultural and the food-processing industries from all over the world, working with cultivation, the maintenance of agricultural animals, manufacture and egg processing, manufacture of forages, the equipment for slaughter, processing of meat raw materials and finished goods manufacture. Consumer attitude and behavior towards food is rapidly changing on a worldwide scale, focusing on health issues including healthier food. Consequently, the importance of delivering fresh and safe meat products with an extended shelf life is increasing. Packaging is becoming more important in the selling process; fresh foods should be conveniently packaged and easy to store. These are the most important ideas of helding the VIV Russia International forum.
After the number of illnesses which the large and small horned livestock and poultry consumers want to receive guarantees about meat which they eat. Meat safety can only be guaranteed if every step in the meat production chain is carefully monitored and controlled. Meat producing and processing companies adapt and improve their production processes to meet the demands. International food quality institutions developed standards for quality assurance and secured traceability. The checking technology which will be showed in detail at the international forum VIV Russia 2009, covers all chain of manufacture from a forage and a place of the maintenance of cattle and paultry and to the processing of meat of these animals.
