Russia’s premier trade fair for packaging technology, continues on its growth course. From 26 to 29 January 2010, over 350 exhibitors will gather to present their innovations in the fields of packaging machinery, confectionery machinery, packaging, packaging aids and logistics on a net floor space of 8,000 square metres at the ZAO Expocenter in Krasnaya Presnya, Moscow. This adds up to an event that will significantly top its predecessor.

 

Altogether companies from more than 20 countries will take the floor and official national participations from Germany, France, the UK, Italy and Turkey have been announced. Exhibitors are set to benefit from the ongoing boom in demand for packaging technology – the packaging sector is experiencing double-digit growth in Russia on the back of expansion in the sales markets for consumer goods. According to a study carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the country still only has some two percent of the global packaging production capacity, which means that local suppliers are unable to meet the high growth recorded in domestic demand.
