Energiesparmesse Wels is the leading exhibition for energy efficiency in building construction. Reducing energy needs has become a priority concern for modern property owners and developers. At the Energiesparmesse Wels 2007, some 91,000 attendees found new ideas, valuable information and customized solutions for their building projects. More than 850 high-quality exhibitors provided a full overview of current industry trends and innovations and presented the complete range of products now available in the market, making the Energiesparmesse Wels one of Europe‘s most important trade shows. In almost all exhibiton sectors — from builiding insulation, house facilities to solar- and heating technology internationally remarkable innovations were presented. The most outstanding examples were awarded with the innovation award «EnergieGenie 2007».

European policies are pushing for a massive reduction of energy consumption, which will in turn accelerate growth in the expanding market for energy technologies and services. Notably, a strong focus on energy optimization and renovation/rehabilitation solutions has recently emerged in the new EU member states.
