Выставка Geo2(ex-Proma)

The idea of sustainable development has gradually grown in importance since it was first mooted in 1987. The purpose of the Geo2 sustainable development fair is to make a positive contribution towards promoting this idea, within the scope of companies, of public institutions and of citizens.
The exhibition Proma was held biennially since 1987, since 2004 it is held in November, even years( previously it was held in March, odd year). Since 2008 the exhibition Proma is renamed to Geo2.

 

The event Geo2 2008 brought together sustainability stakeholders at Halls 1 and 3 and the Convention Centre of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. A total of 4000 trade specialists took part in commercial part, while the programme of seminars and brokerage events drew 932 participants. Designed as an exhibition, a forum for debate and also a platform for specific agreements and active participation, Geo2 set out the main challenges of sustainability in social, economic and environmental terms.
Most visitors came from Spain, but there were also visitors from France, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Algeria, Morocco, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela among others.
