The figures were equally positive under other headings, including a 9 percent increase in the number of franchises present at the fair (268 in all) and a 10 percent increase in net exhibition area, coming to 5,412.5 square metres. With regard to the growing international dimension of the fair, on this occasion the event featured the participation of franchises from France, Italy, Mexico, the United States and Portugal for the first time. Various franchising associations also attended the fair from France, Chile, Brazil and Mexico.
In this respect, EXPOFRANQUICIA has become one of the best business forums within the industry. This much is reflected by the figures achieved at this eleventh edition, where the dynamic levels of activity recorded at the fair were very favourably valued by the exhibiting companies. The high professional stature of the visitors to the event also played an important part in its success. The visitor profile at EXPOFRANQUICIA was also defined by the origin of those who travelled to the fair. Although visitors interested in franchising attended the event from all over Spain, the majority (in order of importance) came from Madrid, Castile-Leon, Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha, Valencia and Catalonia.
