The Digital Factory is a leading trade fair for integrated processes and IT solution. In 2005 the number of exhibitors went up sharply, from 154 to 221, in part because of the addition of the popular new «Product Lifecycle Management» sector. Digital Factory forms part of HANNOVER MESSE (Industrial Techniques Section).

The Digital Factory is devoted to the total networking of design engineering, planning and production. There are no «stand-alone» software applications in this concept, and the industrial process chain can only run genuinely smoothly when conditions are universally optimized. The exhibitors demonstrated how digital concepts can be deployed to reduce product development times and accelerate production.
