Arco Madrid 2010, the International Fair of Contemporary Art, has invited the city of Los Angeles, one of the major artistic centers of the world as guest of Honour.
Arco Madrid, the International Fair of Contemporary Art, begins a tour of the main urban centers of the art market in the world, bringing to Madrid a reflection of the contemporary art scene.
Los Angeles is a city that concentrates a large movement in cultural events: theater, music, theater, visual arts, photography. The city has more than 400 art galleries and the largest concentration of visual creation that is taking place today.
Major universities and research centers in Los Angeles have great figures of contemporary creativity teaching and shaping a new generation of young artists. Los Angeles is now considered as the main arena of contemporary art production worldwide. The influence that Hollywood has always had in the film world has expanded in recent years the field of visual arts. Arco Madrid 2010 will allow Madrid´s public encounter with the art scene in Los Angeles.
The exhibition is opened for professionals since February, 17th , for public – since February, 19th.
